Rules
A short brief before you start. Read it once.
// the basics
- Keywords are single words. Common English. No hyphens, no numbers, no phrases.
- They live across this site. A handful live outside it. Where exactly is part of the puzzle.
- Submit one keyword at a time. Use the input on /play/. Correct submissions fill the numbered slots.
- Hints are scattered. Some are obvious, some are buried in unexpected places. If you're stuck, look closer at things you've already looked at.
// limits
- Ten submissions per hour per session. Wrong guesses count. Spend them carefully. The cap is there to stop bots.
- Solo hunts only. No teams.
// tools
- External tooling is fair game. Some puzzles assume you'll reach for it. Use what a working technical SEO would use.
- AI is permitted as a learning aid. Use it to explain concepts, work through ideas, ask questions you don't know the answer to. Asking AI to solve the whole puzzle for you defeats the purpose. The point is to sharpen your own eye.
// etiquette
- Don't share answers. The fun is the spotting. Sharing a list strips that out for the next person and turns the hunt into a quiz.
// hall of fame
- First ten get a permanent slot. Solve all twenty, claim, get reviewed, lock it in. Public profile at /hall-of-fame/.
- Verification gate. Claims include short questions about how you solved specific puzzles. Vague or wrong answers get the claim rejected. Be honest. The questions are easy if you actually played.
- Opting out is fine. You can solve all twenty and never claim. Plenty of hunters will play it as a pure technical challenge and walk away when they finish.
