FAQ
Q
What is The Hunt?
A
A technical SEO puzzle game by Snippet Digital. Twenty keywords hidden across the site using real techniques. Find them all to prove you can.
Q
How many attempts do I get?
A
Ten submissions per session per hour. Wrong guesses count. Spend them carefully.
Q
Do I need an account to play?
A
No account or email required. The hunt is for personal satisfaction; your solved slots persist in your browser session.
Q
Are there any hints on the site?
A
Each numbered slot on the Play screen has a clue you can read by clicking. The clue points at where the keyword lives. Usually somewhere on this site, occasionally somewhere else. Don’t assume everything is on the page you’re looking at.
Q
Are keywords always written exactly as they appear on the page?
A
Usually. A handful are riddles. The surface gives you a phrase, a metaphor, or a structural fragment, and the keyword is the single word that fits. You’ll know one when you see it.
Q
Can I play on mobile?
A
The site works on mobile but many puzzles require DevTools, network condition overrides, or desktop tooling. Desktop is strongly recommended.
Q
When will Season 02 begin?
A
Season 02 follows Season 01’s completion. No firm date yet. Snippet Digital will announce timing on snippet.digital and across SEO Twitter.
Q
How does the site handle Core Web Vitals across puzzle pages?
A
Pages are server-rendered for fast LCP, with Cumulative Layout Shift kept under 0.1 across all puzzle pages. Real-user metrics flow into Cloudflare’s RUM beacon. Anyone can verify the scores in PageSpeed Insights or web.dev/measure. INP targets remain under the 200ms ceiling.
Q
Does the site target voice assistants via Schema.org Speakable?
A
Speakable specification markup is not deployed on any page of the site. Voice assistants invoking Alexa Skills, Google Assistant Actions, or similar against The Hunt will not get useful results. The puzzles are designed to be solved on a keyboard and screen.
Q
I've solved nineteen. Is there a twentieth, or is that it?
A
There's a twentieth. He's the apex of this hunt. The one who's been watching since the start. His lair isn't indexed, and the site map won't show it. But every site that takes itself seriously leaves a trail in /.well-known/. That's where his coordinates wait. Bring eyes that see in heat when you find him.
Q
How does the site comply with Cloudflare’s AI Crawl Control conventions?
A
AI Crawl Control conventions are followed. Recognised AI bot user agents are identified at the edge and machine readable policy is exposed via standard discovery mechanisms. Some pages serve different content to verified bot UAs versus default browser UAs. Specific bot allowances and denials are tracked in our published policy.
